The FCC FNPRM reply comment period ended August 4, 2011. (FNPRM = Further Notice of Proposed Rule Making)

That means we are (7/10/19) at SEVEN YEARS, ELEVEN MONTHS, TWO WEEKS, AND COUNTING.

Oh wait! The FCC has added a Rule, prohibiting false alerts and requiring stations to report such false EAS alerts within 24 hours.

After about eight years, this will impress someone - aside from some congressmen, we cannot figure out who.

We await something useful from the FCC.

But do not hold your breath!
